About Me...

Hi, I’m Lisette Mibo Esio

This Is My Story

Welcome to my world where everything is c’est possible!

Born in Kinshasa, I have lived in the United Kingdom since the age of 14 years old where I have completed all my education, with recent accomplishment being the achievement of master’s degree in project management at the university of Westminster London.

In 2016, I gave a TEDx Talk entitled “Living On The Edge” which summed up the multi-facet of my life. From juggling motherhood and family life, full time career, to establishing a non-profit organisation and content creation business with a social mission and everything else in between.

Although, it may appear easy from a bird’s eye view, nothing in life is easy but I believe all things are possible with the help of God and the I – can – do – it attitude coupled with great organisation skills, passion and determination to succeed no matter how many times you fail.

“Change the objectives, not the goal.”

From award-winning model to becoming a micro-influencer and content creator.

Fashion has always been a passion of mine, from catwalk walking at London fashion week shows for 6 years as an award-winning Congolese model, to turning my attention to fashion content creation, hosting fashion gala soirees as a fundraising strategy for our non-profit organisation PFM Foundation, all whilst establishing a freelance business.

Why empowering mothers through fashion important to me?

As a busy mother myself, juggling family life, work life, and personal initiatives, it is quite easy to fall into self-neglect when it comes to staying fabulous and stylish because every day becomes about hair up, eye line on, and trainers and off we go. Without realising this as a result starts to have an effect on our appearance and confidence and slowly but surely starts to lose interest in that really important aspect of our lives as women, to look and feel good. For these reasons, in 2018 6 months after giving birth, I had to force myself out of bed, looked into my wardrobe, applied bold make up with a red lipstick, took my camera and asked my mother to take a picture of me and that’s how The Stylish Mum journey started.

The aim is to empower mother to look and feel stylish without breaking the bank but by looking into their wardrobe and re-style what they have.
